My journey didn’t start on a ladder; it started with a drafting table. Born into a military family in Norfolk, Virginia, I eventually found my home in Colorado, graduating from Chatfield in 1991. Driven by a love for structural design, I spent three years studying architecture at USL and even went on to build a few homes from the ground up. But through every blueprint and construction phase, I found myself drawn back to the final, most transformative element: the paint.

I realized that while anyone can build a wall, it takes a craftsman to finish it. Ultimately, I chose to trade the drafting pencil for the brush, and I’ve never looked back. Today, I have proudly served the Colorado area as a professional painter for over 36 years.

For nearly four decades, I’ve held to a philosophy of uncompromising quality. I don’t cut corners, and I respect the physics of a home—raw wood should never be caulked because it shrinks, and bad prep guarantees a bad finish. I insist on a true two‑coat application for proper depth, protection, and color accuracy, never the modern “one‑coat swap.” And while spraying is fast, it doesn’t bond with the longevity Colorado’s climate demands, so I rely on hand‑brushed and rolled techniques that penetrate, seal, and stand the test of time.

Why Work With Me? When you hire me, you aren’t getting a rotating crew of subcontractors or a rushed, high-volume production job. You are getting 36 years of seasoned expertise, a deep respect for your home’s architectural integrity, and the peace of mind that comes with a finish built to last for years to come.
